Unique concept with good sound By Kim Clayton I purchased this amp a couple of months ago to go with my new Michael Kelly guitar. I used to use fender amps then went more into acoustic guitars so I didn’t need an amp as often. (Kept a small Peavey amp for that purpose). This amp is quite good with such an endless combination of sounds one can get with all the options and preprogramming up to 12 combinations of sounds. This saves one from needing to buy all those pedals. The amp is quite loud for only a 30 watt amp. It shook the house (well the windows in it that is) at barely half level. Generally I keep it low since I am a hobbiest but had to check out its capabilities and get my moneys worth. This has lots of options for distortion users which should make metal fans thrilled. But also the combination of all the others allows one to play acoustics and mellow electric guitar sounds as well, which I prefer. Worth the money for the options. Only down side is it takes a while to learn all the combinations you like. Not complicated but it takes a bit to learn how to work it and program the ones you like to reuse. And they don’t give you any schematic telling you anything about how to use any of it. You have to learn it trial and error or look it up on their web site and print it off yourself which is what I did. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5. I believe if they are going to make an amp this complex with combinations they should give some information with it. But so far the amp produces very good sounds…personally love the chorus effects. Worth the money and all the pedals one will not have to purchase.

Not for beginners By Stuart Scipione II This amp is great if you have some kind of baser knowledge of amps and their workings. New players are going to be drawn to the low price tag and the high wattage, but honestly if you don’t know your going to get lost in the bells and whistles. There are a lot of different tones to choose from. Well, let’s face it, there are a lot of knobs and buttons. You get the tone yo want, then hit a button and everything is out of whack. Read the instructions, find a couple you like and want to play with, set them, and go play.
Sounds great with any kind of guitar. I have a Gretsch 5120, an Ibanez, two Les Pauls, (One Gibson, one Ibanez), and a Fender, and this amp can scream with all of them.
The Reaper mixer is a really good program for people starting out playing with recording music. I have several friends who have been recording for years who snagged the disc off me to play with and they are all happy with the program. I haven’t had any problems with speaker housing, solder holds up perfectly fine.
Over all a great prodct for the money as long as your not going to get lost in the knobs. If you’re new, and you want to scream the wah wah, get a less complicated amp and a distortion pedal.

Skylor Maxon By Simon Gifcad Cusomer The amp is great but you have to have great pick-ups to get the different distortion tones. The tube screamer is kind of screachy but all the other effects are good. For $160-200 i wouldn’t recommend anything else. You can come up with really any tone you want.
