I thought it was an even-handed look into someone who was truly in it for the music and the art of playing well. In fact, he played (and plays) magnificently.

Fantastic!

Finally someone has taken the time to truly uncover the mystique behind the greatest guitarist in modern times. Without this man, there would be much missing in myriad categories of Guitar based Music, from Punk to Rockabilly, Rock & Roll to Modern Jazz.
This book is truly well written by a qualified author that “gets” Spedding. I strongly recommend this work to anyone that listens to guitar music of any sort, as the object of this biography’s work spans the spectrum.

One of the greatest guitarists ever, unveiled to the public

Being a fan of his since his days in the sharks, its hard not to like this book. A guy who is pretty closed lipped, & shy & introverted, never much to open up, I never knew alot about him. This book goes into Chris Spedding a long ways. I found it very eye opening on alot of topics about him. NOW, I had old Chris sign my copy recently, & the first thing out of his lips was, “It’s All Lies”. He even wrote that in the book as well as autographing it for me. Well it didn’t take long to realize it is not all lies, there is alot of info from alot of different musicains over the years. Its a good book, & you come away knowing why alot of folks never really heard of him. I had not even started to read it when he signed it, so I couldn’t comment on it, but then again, he is not the most outgoing talkative kind of guy, which I understand. In my humble opinion, this is a great book, by one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
